(a) Sunscreening material consisting of film which, when applied to and tested on the rear window glass of the specific motor vehicle, has a total solar reflectance of visible light of not more than 35 percent as measured on the nonfilm side and a light transmittance of at least 15 percent in the visible light range; however, sunscreening material which, when applied to and tested on the rear window glass of the specific motor vehicle, has a total solar reflectance of visible light of not more than 35 percent as measured on the nonfilm side and a light transmittance of at least 6 percent in the visible light range may be used on multipurpose passenger vehicles.
(b) Perforated sunscreening material which, when tested in conjunction with existing glazing or film material, has a total reflectance of visible light of not more than 35 percent and a light transmittance of no less than 30 percent. For those products or materials having different levels of reflectance, the highest reflectance from the product or material will be measured by dividing the area into 16 equal sections and averaging the overall reflectance. The measured reflectance of any of those sections may not exceed 50 percent.
(c) Louvered materials, if the installation of the materials does not reduce driver visibility by more than 50 percent.
(d) Privacy drapes, curtains and blinds, provided such covering is in an open and secure position when the motor vehicle is being operated on any public highway, road, or street.

A sunscreening material is authorized for such windows if, when applied to and tested on the glass of such windows on the specific motor vehicle, the material has a total solar reflectance of visible light of not more than 25 percent as measured on the nonfilm side and a light transmittance of at least 28 percent in the visible light range. A violation of this section is a noncriminal traffic infraction, punishable as a nonmoving violation as provided in chapter 318.
History.—s. 1, ch. 84-296; s. 1, ch. 91-42; s. 209, ch. 99-248.

Absolutely, although we may be able to accommodate window tinting on the same day as a walk-in, it is really important to schedule a date for your service request to ensure the service is done in a timely manner.
The approximate time varies from vehicle to vehicle. For example, if the vehicle is brand new and just arriving from the dealership. It can take between 1-2 hrs for the whole vehicle, and 30 mins for just 2 front sides. However, vehicles that have been aging with no tint can take 2-3 hours does to the necessary thorough cleaning process used prior to tint to ensure an excellent outcome. For those vehicles that have prior tints and need a fresh tint job, the process can take 5 or more hours. For more accurate timing based on your vehicle specification please call us to get an estimate of turnaround time.
In most cases for window tinting services, we are most likely to return the vehicle the same day. However, for other listed services such as Car Wraps, PPF, paint corrections, etc... we may need to keep the vehicle overnight or for more than 24hrs. Please call to obtain details about your vehicle.
Congratulations! on your newly tinted car. To maximize the longevity of your window film here are some very simple steps you need to take to make sure your tint does not go bad on you before its expected expiration or however long it was created to last. As a side note, you should know that all window tints are manufactured with a rough estimate of when it will go bad on you. You can find out more from your salesperson or installer.
#1: We recommend your leave your windows rolled up for a minimum of 3-5 days. The reason is window films are installed in many different climates from extremely freezing weather to extremely hot weather. So if you're in a colder climate we recommend you wait it out for at least 5 days. Some windows are extremely jammed tight which can cause the tint to peel back if not given proper drying time.
#2: DO NOT USE AMMONIA-BASED PRODUCTS. Simply because ammonia breaks down polyester. Your window film is made out of polyester. Your window film will become flaky as a result of your use of ammonia-based window cleaner.
#3: Use a damp soft cloth like a microfiber towel with mild soap to wipe away paw prints and dirt. If you want to fancy yourself you can use an AMMONIA-FREE window cleaner.
#4: Rub gently, use a second microfiber towel for drying
#5 DO NOT USE ANY ABRASIVE MATERIALS it will ruin your day!
Congratulations!

Do not wash or wax your vehicle until three (3) days after Clearshield® Pro has been installed. Then, normal washing and waxing is recommended.
If a stain does not come off during regular washing, isopropyl alcohol should remove anything on the surface of the film.
A pressure washer can be used but wait three (3) days after installation and be mindful not to get too close to the edges.
Using these cleaning and maintenance tips will help maintain the premium look and longevity of your vehicle wrap. Infrequent or improper maintenance can lead to premature degradation of graphics and lower the expected life of the film. Cleaning Tips: Waterless Wash – Preferred Method: If the vehicle is not overly dirty, this is the preferred method. Hand wash extremely dirty vehicles first and follow up with a waterless wash. Waterless wash products can help maintain the gloss level and performance of the film. Before using any new product on your wrap, be sure to test them in an inconspicuous area of the vehicle. We recommend using our standard cleaner in our Supreme Wrapping™ Film Care line. Afterward, use our sealant to provide a protective layer on your wrap for easier cleaning of everyday dirt and stains. Hand Wash – Ideal for a vehicle with dirt or other residue. Follow the below steps: 1) Pre rinse: Using a hose, rinse the whole wrap with clean water. This helps remove the loose dirt particles and helps avoid scratching the graphics. 2) Wash: Gently wash the vehicle with a mild soapy water solution using a soft cloth or a synthetic or natural sponge. Start from the top of the vehicle and work down. Avoid abrading the surface with unnecessary scrubbing. 3) Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with clean water. 4) Dry: Let the wrap dry naturally. To avoid water spotting, use a silicone squeegee to remove water then finish drying with a micro-fiber or soft, nonabrasive towel. NOTE! Excessive spraying at the wrong angle may create failure points and result in the wrap lifting at edges. An automatic car wash that uses brushes is not recommended. Brushes may scratch the wrap or catch the wrap’s edge and create a failure point
Windshield repair is often recommended over windshield replacement for several reasons:
1. Cost: Windshield repair is typically more cost-effective than replacement. Repairing a small chip or crack is generally less expensive than replacing the entire windshield.
2. Time: Repairing a windshield is usually a quicker process compared to replacing it. Repairs can often be completed within 30 minutes to an hour, whereas replacing a windshield may require more time, including ordering the new windshield and allowing for the installation process.
3. Convenience: Repairing a windshield is convenient because it can be done at a location of your choice, such as your home or workplace. Many mobile windshield repair services are available, saving you the hassle of driving to a repair shop.
4. Insurance coverage: Many insurance policies cover windshield repairs without requiring you to pay a deductible. This means that you may be able to have your windshield repaired at no cost to you, making it an even more appealing option.
5. Structural integrity: If the damage to the windshield is minor, a repair can restore the structural integrity of the glass. A professional repair seals the damaged area, preventing the crack or chip from spreading and compromising the overall strength of the windshield.
6. Environmentally friendly: Repairing a windshield is a more environmentally friendly option compared to replacement. By repairing the existing glass, you avoid the need for new materials, reducing waste and the consumption of energy required for manufacturing and disposing of a new windshield.
It's important to note that not all types of damage can be repaired. Factors such as the size, location, and severity of the damage will determine whether a repair is feasible. In some cases, windshield replacement may be the only option. Consulting with a professional windshield repair technician will help determine the best course of action based on the specific damage to your windshield.
